Fund for Williamstown
The Mary and Henry Flynt Grant and the Fund for Williamstown invite applications for a competitive grant opportunity for projects that fortify, enliven, and expand opportunities open to all Williamstown residents. Funded projects are required to demonstrate how they will help maintain or improve the quality of life of the residents of Williamstown, defined broadly.
Both grant cycles will run concurrently and be administered this year by the Williamstown Community Chest as a pilot program with Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation. This partnership aims to streamline the process for nonprofit applicants and ensure strong local expertise on the grant review committee.
Applications must be submitted by October 15, 2024 for consideration in the current cycle.
History
Mary and Henry Flynt Grant
The Mary and Henry Flynt grant, established in 2015, is made possible by the very generous bequest from the estate of Mary and Henry Flynt, longtime residents of Williamstown and devoted supporters of the community. The terms of the bequest created an endowment fund with a specified portion to be distributed annually as grants, by means of a competitive process.
Fund for Williamstown Grant
The Fund for Williamstown, an endowed fund of Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation, was established in 2006 by a group of residents who wished to continue the town’s strong tradition of community improvement and make Williamstown a better, more vibrant place to live.
