Williamstown Community Chest

encourages community members to begin the Season of Giving

with a gift of time, money, goods or voice

The Williamstown Community Chest will mark the day by distributing “Sand for Seniors.” Aubuchon Hardware of Williamstown has donated 50 pails to be filled with sand and distributed to seniors in anticipation of slippery walkways during the coming winter. They encourage others to join them or volunteer wherever they are needed.

Founded nearly 90 years ago, the Williamstown Community Chest is unusually fortunate in that a generous endowment covers all overhead costs, so every penny of annual contributions is distributed directly to non-profits that serve the communities. This year’s campaign is currently underway with a goal of   $260,000 to support the 16 local member agencies.
