Penny Social and Nonprofit Fair

The annual Holiday Walk signals the beginning of the winter holiday season in Williamstown.  The Community Chest is pleased to host the Penny Social/ Nonprofit Fair, a cornerstone event of the Holiday Walk and a fundraiser for the Community Chest. The event will take place on Saturday, December 7. in Lasell Gym, located at the corner of Main and Spring streets in Williamstown. Entrance to the event is located at 871 Main Street.

What is a penny social? A penny social is a fundraising event that combines elements of raffles and silent auctions. Guests buy tickets that they use to bid on items and prizes. Each ticket equals one bid. A winning ticket is drawn at random, and the guest who placed that ticket wins the item.

Who we help

Contributions to the Williamstown Community Chest are distributed to local agencies working to help people in our community meet a variety of challenges. Your gift addresses the needs of many who are struggling with issues of poverty, addiction, and abuse right here in Berkshire County.
