United Cerebral Palsy (UCP) of Berkshire County offers support and advocacy for any individual, regardless of physical disabilities and financial abilities, to pursue a high-quality community life.
Its current programs include:
Social Sprouts After-School and Vacation Program:
Provides a safe, stimulating after-school program for all children aged 3-6 residing in North Berkshire County. This program is especially helpful for children who are unable to participate in typical after-school programs because of disabilities and mild developmental delays.
Adult Family Care:
Offers an opportunity for individuals with disabilities over the age of 16 or elders who are MassHealth eligible to continue living at home with their families or, if they choose, to live with non-family members. Caregivers provide assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, eating, toileting and/or cognitive or mental disabilities. Each participant is assigned a team, including a case manager and registered nurse.
Northern Berkshire Early Intervention Program:
Provides family-centered, therapeutic developmental services to children birth to 3 years old who have, or are at risk to have, developmental delays. The program is paid out of insurance, and causes no direct expense to the family. This service is not based on family income.
