Berkshire Family and Individual Resources (BFAIR) provides support and advocacy services for children,adolescents, adults, and elders with developmental disabilities, autism and acquired brain injuries.
Its current programs include:
Employment Services:
Helps people with disabilities to obtain job opportunities and supports them with their increased responsibility within the community.
Adult Family Care / Shared Living (AFC/SL):
Trains and provides qualified AFC/SL caregivers to help monitor and take care of people with disabilities through regular visits.
Community Residential Services:
Provides flexible and individualized living assistance to people with developmental disabilities and brain injuries.
Homecare Services:
Provides in-home care for elders by assisting with medical and home care needs.
Day Habilitation Services:
Provides adults and students with disabilities individualized services utilizing a medical model including clinical, physical, and occupational and speech therapies as well as on-site nursing care and community integration options.
Clinical Services:
Provides intensive clinical services for individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Disabilities, and Emotional and Behavioral Disabilities under the age of 22. Individualized wrap-around services are provided at school, in the home, and in the community. School staff and family training is provided.
